Exeter Male Voice Choir Today

We are a long established male voice choir proud of our history but open to trying new things as we look to the future. We enjoy performance opportunities throughout the year including joint concerts with other choirs and instrumental groups, raising money for local and national charities and supporting the wider local community.

Our patient and encouraging musical director and pianist Matt Gardner brings enthusiasm and theatrical flair to the choir having over 25 years experience working with community theatre groups and choirs often producing ambitious 4 part singing shows with non-auditioned singers.

He is focused on getting the best from the choir and firmly believes that every voice matters and that, given the right guidance and hard work, the only limitation on an amateur choir is its own ambition. He  is currently putting us through our paces learning a new programme of current popular music which he has arranged especially for us as we look to diversify our repertoire.

Our longstanding piano accompanist Peter Betts accompanies us on our community Sing Outs and is responsible for our Christmas programme.
